Study Update

The Children with Down's Syndrome Study began enrolling children on 1st May 2006.

How many children have joined?

This section is updated in real time and shows the number of children recruited to the newborn stage. The study started in May 2006 in the Yorkshire Neonatal network and continues to be rolled out in hospitals across the UK.

Publications

Although the study is in an early stage, it has already attracted a lot of interest in the medical community, and there is increasing recognition of the potential for this project to make a significant impact on the health of children with Down's syndrome in a wide variety of areas.

The results will be published in several different ways:

  • In scientific journals and at scientific meetings.
  • In the Journal of the Down's Syndrome Association.
  • In a newsletter for families available on this website.
